Nadine Slootjes has an extensive work experience in the field of water management. Nadine started their career as an Advisor Flood Protection and Hydraulic Engineer at Rijkswaterstaat RIZA in 2002. After working there for four years, they moved on to HKV Consultants in 2006, where they served as a Consultant and later as a Business Development professional in Flood Risk Analysis until 2011. In 2011, Nadine joined Deltares as a Senior Advisor in Flood Risk Management and held this role until September 2022. During their time at Deltares, they also took on various leadership positions including Department Head of Operational Water Management and Early Warning, Product Manager for Hydrology Software, and currently, they serve as the Head of Department at Deltares Software Centre since March 2022. Nadine Slootjes has built a strong expertise in water management and is highly skilled in flood risk analysis and protection.
Nadine Slootjes attended Utrecht University from 1996 to 2002, where they earned a M.Sc. degree in Fysische Geografie.
