Nicholas Smith, CPA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and auditing. Currently serving as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at DEMCO since May 2022, Nicholas previously held various roles at Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP from September 2016 to May 2022, including Associate Partner and Senior Manager. Before that, Nicholas worked at EY as an Assurance Staff member, providing audit services to clients in diverse industries. Nicholas began the accounting career as a Student Accountant at Mike Johnson & Associates and also gained valuable experience as an Audit Intern at Postlethwaite & Netterville. An active participant in leadership roles, Nicholas was the Director of Programming for LSU Student Government and has a strong academic background with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
