Nicolas Poncelet is an experienced professional in civil and geotechnical engineering, currently serving as Works Manager at DEME Group since November 2021, overseeing projects aimed at combating coastal erosion and improving local infrastructure in Ivory Coast. Their previous roles include Project Engineer for various dredging and tunneling projects in Italy and as Marine Superintendent for significant dredging operations in the UAE. Prior to joining DEME Group, Nicolas Poncelet was a Research Assistant and Ph.D. student at Université libre de Bruxelles, and held geotechnical engineering positions at Group Verbeke and NCL Envirotek Inc. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles and a Master's in Applied Sciences in Civil Engineering.
