Ricardo Machado is a Project Engineer Offshore at DEME Group, focusing on the Noirmoutier Offshore Wind Farm in France, and serves as Superintendent onboard HLJV Innovation for the installation campaign. Previously, Ricardo worked as a Naval Architect at Vera Navis, where contributions included developing a simulation workflow for strength assessment of hull girder structures and collaborating on a proposal for an EU Grant on Wind-Powered Shipping. Prior experience also includes a summer internship at Vera Navis, assisting in the concept design of a floating dry dock and supporting detailed designs for an underwater tree-harvest vessel. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, enhanced by an Erasmus Exchange Programme at Delft University of Technology.
