Roel van de Velde

2nd Dredge Operator at DEME Group

Roel Van de Velde has extensive experience in the maritime and LNG sectors, currently serving as a 2nd dredge operator at DEME Group since October 2019, where roles have also included trainee dredge operator and LNG advisor. Prior to this, Roel worked at BP Europe SE as a team leader in blending and bulk from November 2018 to October 2019. Roel held the position of master on an LNG bunker vessel at NYK LNG SHIPMANAGEMENT (UK) LIMITED from October 2017 to October 2018, and at Exmar Shipmanagement from September 2007 to September 2016, served as cargo officer, chief officer, and officer. Additionally, Roel was cargo operations manager at ECOS LNG between December 2012 and October 2015. Roel Van de Velde holds a Master’s Degree in Navigation/Deck Officer from Antwerp Maritime Academy, which was completed in 2007.
