Kenji Tagami is a dedicated professional with a strong background in nutrition sciences and user experience research. Currently serving as a User Experience Volunteer at DemocracyLab since November 2022, Kenji designs and conducts comprehensive user research to enhance stakeholder interactions. Prior experience includes working with AmeriCorps VISTA, where Kenji conducted needs assessments and supported federal meal reimbursement initiatives in Hawaii. Additional roles include Research & Development Laboratory Technician at Premier Nutrition, Nutrition Field Experience Intern at San Jose State University, Nutrition Data Analyst at Vitagene, and Assistant Wellness Educator for the San Leandro Unified School District, demonstrating a consistent commitment to nutrition and wellness education. Kenji holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences from San Jose State University and has furthered education at Toyo University and Berkeley City College.

DemocracyLab
DemocracyLab is a nonprofit organization that has created an open-source platform connecting stakeholders in civic technology. Our initial product seeks to optimize the connection between skilled volunteers and technology projects that advance the public good. Later iterations will focus on the needs of donors, citizens, and institutions. The intended result is that the efficient flow of information and allocation of resources that our platform facilitates will accelerate the evolution of new civic innovations capable of addressing many of society's significant challenges.
