Suvarna Singh is an accomplished project manager with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Project Manager Team Lead and Project Manager (Volunteer) at DemocracyLab and as a Program Manager and Localization Project Manager (Volunteer) at Translation Commons since January 2022, Suvarna has a strong foundation in project management principles. Previous experience includes a deployment project coordinator role at Astreya for Meta, a technical program manager position at Samsung Research America, and project management roles at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development and Moback, Inc. Suvarna has also held software quality engineering and development positions early in the career. Suvarna holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Institute of Technology and Management, Uttar Pradesh, India, complemented by a Technology Project Management Certification from UC Berkeley Extension.

DemocracyLab
DemocracyLab is a nonprofit organization that has created an open-source platform connecting stakeholders in civic technology. Our initial product seeks to optimize the connection between skilled volunteers and technology projects that advance the public good. Later iterations will focus on the needs of donors, citizens, and institutions. The intended result is that the efficient flow of information and allocation of resources that our platform facilitates will accelerate the evolution of new civic innovations capable of addressing many of society's significant challenges.
