Melissa Bechhoefer is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Director of Integrative Collections at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science since December 2012, where also holds the title of Anthropology Collections Manager and NAGPRA Coordinator. In addition to this role, Melissa Bechhoefer has been the President of the Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists since June 2022. Prior roles include Registrar at History Colorado from October 2004 to December 2012 and Museum Curator for the National Park Service from January 2003 to October 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Museum and Field Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology and Geology from Oberlin College.
