Michael L. Browder

Michael L. Browder, Sr. has extensive experience in human resources and public administration, currently serving as the Acting Director of Human Resources at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since July 2012. Previously held various leadership roles within HUD, including Director of Administrative Services, HQ Stakeholder Relations, and Deputy Regional Administrator for Region IV, overseeing a wide range of responsibilities across multiple states and territories. Browder also directed the Commonwealth of Kentucky Field Office, establishing connections with local officials and managing HUD program delivery. Additional experience includes roles as Program Director for Public and Indian Housing, Associate Broker, and Executive positions in various housing and real estate organizations. Browder holds an MBA from UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Business, a BS in Economics from the University of Utah, and a Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma from Purdue University.
