Gregory McLean

Gregory McLean is an experienced foreign affairs professional currently serving as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation. McLean has held various roles within the Department, including Press Officer for Afghanistan and Central Asia and Presidential Management Fellow. In addition to this, McLean works as a Public Affairs Specialist for U.S. Africa Command and has recently served as a Psychological Operations Officer in the United States Army Reserve. Previously, McLean was the Director of Information Operations for Special Operations Command Africa and has held positions at the Office of the Secretary of Defense and World Bank Group. McLean's military background includes being an Infantry Officer in the US Army. McLean’s educational qualifications include a Master of Information Technology from Virginia Tech and a Master of Letters from the University of St Andrews focusing on Middle East and Central Asian Security Studies, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Bard College.
