Maria Smith

Maria Smith is an experienced professional in international relations and education, currently serving as a Foreign Service Officer and Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State since October 2014. Prior to this, Maria held various roles including Nonproliferation Graduate Fellow at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Translator at Language Link. Additional experience includes teaching English as a Foreign Language, project evaluation, and research on international democracy. Maria's educational background includes a Master's in Public Policy and a Master's in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Michigan, as well as a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
