Mike Mitchell has over three decades of experience in diplomatic and consular roles, currently serving as Deputy Consular Chief at the U.S. Department of State since March 2010. Previous positions include Diplomat roles at U.S. Embassies in Seoul, Port of Spain, and Port Moresby, where responsibilities ranged from managing consular teams to overseeing Non Immigrant Visa tasks and outreach events. Prior to their governmental service, Mike was the Country Director for CCUSA in Hungary, and also held roles in education as an adjunct professor at McDaniel College and as Assistant Camp Director in Croatia. Mike holds a Master of Education from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from UC Irvine.
