Brent Ruggles

Brent Ruggles, CEM, is a seasoned professional in emergency management with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Emergency Management Specialist at the U.S. Department of the Interior since November 2021, Brent previously held the role of Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, from September 2017 to March 2022. Brent's background in the United States Coast Guard includes responsibilities as YN1, where duties encompassed office management, administration, and instruction in the Incident Command System, among others. Additionally, Brent worked as an Emergency Management Analyst at Aveshka, Inc. from September 2015 to October 2016. Brent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, earned between 2009 and 2013.
