Muhammad Sohail has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Muhammad is currently the Head of Operations for the Qatar Business Unit at Descon. Prior to this, they worked at Sendan International Company as the Director of Plant Services & Construction, where they were responsible for managing various construction and plant service projects. Muhammad also served as the Head of the Mechanical & Plant Services Division at Sendan. Before that, they were the Manager of Projects at Olayan Descon Industrial Company, where they showcased expertise in industrial works and successfully managed projects in different industries. Muhammad also held positions at EKL- engineering kinetics (pvt.) ltd. and Saif Group as the Head of Projects and Site Manager, respectively. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Manager at EKL- engineering kinetics (pvt.) ltd. Muhammad Sohail started their career at Descon as an Assistant Engineer. Overall, they have demonstrated their leadership abilities, expertise in project management, and commitment to ensuring safety and quality standards.
Muhammad Sohail attended the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore from 1989 to 1994. Muhammad pursued a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical.

Today, Descon owns and operates chemical and power plants, with allied interests in inspection and testing. Descon Chemicals Business comprises of Descon Oxychem Limited. Their Power Business takes shape in the form of Descon Power Solutions (DPS), providing power plant operations and maintenance (O&M) services for thermal and renewable power plants in Pakistan. Descon also owns two Independent Power Plants (IPPs), Altern Energy Limited, 32 MW gas based power plant and Rousch (Pakistan) Power Limited, a 450 MW combined cycle power plant. As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Descon takes immense pride in educating underprivileged youth, keen to acquire technical skills and improving their livelihood through the Descon Technical Institute. DTI also provides vocational trainings to young aspiring students.
