Kristen O'Shea

Kristen O'Shea is an experienced geospatial data scientist with expertise in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and project management. Currently serving as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Desert Research Institute since August 2022, Kristen previously worked as a Geospatial Data Scientist at Climate Engine and held managerial and analytical roles at Conservation International. Kristen's background includes significant experience at NASA, where roles ranged from Geoinformatics Fellow to DEVELOP Team Member, focusing on GIS and remote sensing projects. Prior internships and positions at Geosyntec Consultants, ExxonMobil, EQT Corporation, and teaching assistantships underscore a strong foundation in geology and mathematics, supported by advanced degrees from the University of Maryland and San Diego State University.
