Kristin Ghiggeri Burgarello

Kristin Ghiggeri Burgarello is an experienced advancement professional currently serving as the Director of Advancement at the Desert Research Institute since September 2021, where leadership in fundraising collaborations with the DRI Foundation is a primary focus. Prior to this role, Kristin held the position of Executive Director of Development at the University of Nevada Reno from September 2006 to August 2021, working closely with various colleges to enhance fundraising success and leading the Prospect Management initiative through significant data visualization improvements. Additional roles at the University of Nevada Reno included Director of Development & Alumni Relations, where Kristin successfully transformed the development program for the Reynolds School of Journalism, and Alumni Program Manager. Early career experience includes positions at Saint Mary's Health Network as Marketing Communications Specialist, Community Relations Representative, and Writer/Graphic Artist. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
