Laura O'Neill is an experienced professional in the field of architecture and historic preservation. Since March 2021, Laura has served as the Cultural Resources Program Manager at the Desert Research Institute, overseeing compliance activities related to cultural resources under a federal contract. Prior to this role, Laura worked as an Architectural Historian with the Ventura Historic Preservation Committee and held positions such as Senior Architectural Historian and Designer at GPA Consulting, as well as Commissioner for the Santa Monica Landmarks Commission. Additional experience includes an internship with the Philadelphia Historical Commission and Caldwell Architects. Laura O'Neill holds a Master of Architecture in Architecture and Historic Preservation from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lehigh University.
