Umakanta Jena is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in biomass conversion and biofuels. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University and an Affiliate Assistant Research Professor at the Desert Research Institute, Jena's expertise spans from teaching to conducting research and writing grant proposals. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at Lincoln University of Missouri and Assistant Research Professor at the Desert Research Institute. Jena's research interests focus on algae biofuels, hydrothermal conversion, pyrolysis, and gasification.
