Design Central
Maria Basile is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in industrial design and coaching. Currently serving as the IDSA Columbus Chair since January 2022, Maria has also been an industrial designer and contractor at Design Central since July 2020. In addition, Maria coaches synchronized swimming for young girls at Ohio Coralinas Synchronized Swimming and previously worked as a UX designer for SmileChild, focusing on a gamified educational app for new mothers. Maria's earlier roles include research assistant at the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence and various internships at Design Central, Flourish Integrated Therapy, and Microcom Corporation, where key skills in prototyping, design, and accessibility were developed. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Product Design from The Ohio State University.
