Royce Mendes, CFA, is a highly experienced finance professional currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of Macro Strategy at Desjardins since January 2022. Prior to this role, Mendes held the position of Executive Director in Economics at CIBC Capital Markets from May 2015 to January 2022. Mendes has also worked at the Bank of Canada in various capacities, including Associate Editor of the Financial System Review, Principal Researcher for the Market Risks and Vulnerabilities Team, Portfolio Manager for the Foreign Reserves Management Team, and Senior Analyst in the Financial Markets Policy Analysis Division from May 2012 to May 2015.
