Kristen Cruz has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kristen started their career in 2002 at USDM.net, where they held roles such as Advertising Manager, Account Manager, Senior Account Director, and Director of Client Services. At USDM.net, they managed client projects, oversaw budgets, developed marketing campaigns, and handled client communication.
In 2008, Kristen joined Jennifer Barbee, Inc. as the Director of Communications & PR, where they developed marketing and communication strategies for tourism clientele. Kristen later took on roles as Director of Interactive Strategies & PR and Director of Marketing & Strategy, overseeing the development of advertising plans, creative messaging, and campaign tracking.
From 2012 to 2014, Kristen worked at Dealertrack Technologies as a Senior SEM Account Executive and later as the Manager of Search & Media. In these roles, they led the development and implementation of paid search and media products for automotive dealers. Kristen also managed a team and implemented program enhancements to deliver successful results.
Kristen then joined Fonality in 2014 as the Director of Online Marketing and later as the Senior Director of Digital Marketing. Kristen led the digital strategy and execution of the company's brand visibility through all digital channels, focusing on increasing brand awareness and driving targeted traffic.
In 2017, Kristen became the VP of Marketing at NetFortris, where they played a key role in the company's marketing efforts. Kristen'sresponsibilities included developing marketing strategies and enhancing the user's online experience.
In 2018, Kristen co-founded Slay It, an organization that empowers and collaborates with women in the tourism industry to bring about positive changes personally and professionally. Kristen served as the Co-Founder and Principal, driving the mission of empowerment and collaboration.
Kristen's entrepreneurial spirit led their to establish their own company, Kristen Cruz Events & Design, in 2009, where they serve as the Owner.
Kristen is currently involved with TogetherDigital as a Board Member, providing advisory support.
Most recently, in 2017, Kristen co-founded Destination Innovate, a company that helps destination marketing organizations (DMOs) formulate strategies to address their current challenges and seize future opportunities. Kristen serves as the Co-Founder & Partner, Client Relations, ensuring strong relationships with clients.

Kristen Cruz attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from 2001 to 2003. During this time, they did not obtain a specific degree or pursue a specific field of study. In addition to their college education, Kristen has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Kristen became Inbound Certified through Hubspot in June 2015, Marin Enterprise Certified Specialist through Marin Software in April 2013, and Google Adwords Certified through Google in January 2007.
