Brandon Neel, PhD

Brandon Neel, PhD has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Scientist, Protein Design & Engineering at Detect. From 2014-2022, they were a Graduate Student and Graduate Research Assistant in the Ohio State University Biochemistry Program. From 2009-2014, they were a Lecturer and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Eastern Michigan University. From 2004-2009, they were the Comics & Puzzles Editor/Cartoonist at Eastern Echo News, where they won several state and national awards for comics.

Brandon Neel earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from Eastern Michigan University between 2004 and 2009. Brandon then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Eastern Michigan University between 2009 and 2012. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University between 2015 and 2021.
