Jamie Lareau

Jamie LaReau is an accomplished news reporter with extensive experience in the automotive and finance sectors. Currently serving as a news reporter and business writer for the Detroit Free Press since May 2018, Jamie previously held the position of senior reporter at Automotive News from November 2004 to May 2018, where notable reporting garnered several awards, including Azbee and Neal awards. Earlier experiences include senior reporter/assistant editor at FundFire, transportation and M&A reporter at Reuters, finance/markets reporter at Bridge News wire service, and bureau chief at WHOI-TV. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University, obtained in 1991.
