Dr. De'Andrea Matthews

Vice President Of Diversity And Community Engagement at Detroit Zoological Society

Dr. De'Andrea Matthews currently serves as the Vice President of Diversity and Community Engagement at the Detroit Zoological Society, a role held since July 2022, after previously being the Director of Diversity and Community Engagement from January 2021 to July 2022. Dr. Matthews is also the CEO and Founder of Claire Aldin Publications, established in February 2015, an independent publishing company accredited by the Better Business Bureau and a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association. Additionally, Dr. Matthews has been the Senior Pastor at Visions International Ministry since February 2018, focusing on healing and empowerment for leaders. Earlier experience includes serving as President of Virginia Park Community Investment Associates Inc. and various positions at Wayne State University School of Medicine, culminating in the role of Director of Diversity & Inclusion. Dr. Matthews holds a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies from Eastern Michigan University, a Master's in Theology, and a Doctorate in Religious Education from Destiny Christian University.
