Job description

Deutsch NY is seeking an Editor to join our in-house post production team, Great Machine. We are a small but mighty team of makers/creators who are just as hyped to work on a new business pitch as a TVC campaign.  We’re looking for a like-minded technically skilled, professional editor who is also a creative storyteller at heart to take lead on edit and see projects through from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing various projects for clients including: broadcast, digital content, social content, adaptation/re-edits, case studies, pitch videos, etc.
  • Performing animation on title cards, end cards, etc as needed.
  • Ingesting and logging footage post shoot.
  • Prepping for finishing workflows for audio, color, and flame.
  • Conforming for final delivery.
  • Collaborating closely with production and creative teams throughout edit.
  • Collaborating closely with post producer on pre and post-production, scheduling, timelines, etc.
  • Maintaining editorial organization systems, archives, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in video editing and animation.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and possess solid technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge in After Effects and Photoshop. Demonstrated proficiency in animation is a plus.
  • Ability to work across a broad range of video projects including live action and animated graphics.
  • Experience with working for an agency or post-production company is a plus.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
  • All applicants must provide a reel/portfolio showcasing their work.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000, commensurate with experience.
