Karina Stan

Karina Stan is a seasoned legal and policy expert specializing in European Union regulatory matters. Currently serving as Director of EU Policy and Head of the Brussels Office at Developers Alliance since June 2019, Karina advocates for software developers and their companies, engaging with EU policymakers on issues such as the Digital Markets Act, AI, and data protection. Prior to this role, Karina held the position of Legal Advisor at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the EU, where significant contributions included chairing the Working Party on Internal Market during Romania's EU Presidency and leading negotiations on the Platform-to-Business Regulation. Karina's experience also encompasses legal counseling for the Romanian government, focusing on EU law compatibility and legislative harmonization, with roles in various ministries from 2003 to 2014.
