Prudence Mkhari is a graduate trainee at the Development Bank of Southern Africa since July 2021 and previously served as an academic facilitator at the University of the Free State from March 2021 to June 2021. Prudence holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce in General Management from the University of the Free State. Further qualifications include an Advanced Certificate in Management Practice from Henley Business School, a Certificate in Financial Modelling and Analysis from the University of Cape Town, a Certificate in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability from the University of Cape Town, and completion of the Female Investment Programme from Franklin Templeton Academy. In July 2019, Prudence also obtained an Advanced Bachelors in Urban Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

The Development Bank of Southern Africa (“DBSA”) is a development finance institution wholly owned by the South African Government. Its purpose is to accelerate sustainable socio-economic development to improve the quality of life of the people in South Africa, SADC and Rest of Africa by providing financial and non-financial investments in the social and economic infrastructure sectors. The DBSA support South Africa’s regional integration agenda through providing development finance for infrastructure projects in four priority sectors; energy (including renewable energy and energy efficiency), transportation (road, rail and ports), bulk water and ICT, across Africa.
