Shannon Cowcer is a highly skilled behavior specialist with extensive experience in supporting individuals with disabilities. Currently employed at Perspectives Corporation since January 2020, Shannon provides 1:1 support and implements behavior treatment plans while assisting individuals with daily life activities. In parallel, Shannon has served as a lead teacher assistant at the Developmental Disabilities Institute since June 2017, working with children with autism and ensuring adherence to curriculum and IEP goals. Previous roles include positions as a substitute teacher, an intern in education policy and public service, and a student assistant, showcasing a consistent commitment to enhancing the lives of students with disabilities. Shannon holds a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Stony Brook University and a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Rhode Island.
