John Raines

John Raines currently serves as Vice President of the Delaware Basin Business Unit at Devon Energy, having also held leadership positions in the Rockies Business Unit and the Land & Regulatory Departments. John has been instrumental in developing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance across various basins in the western United States. Raines possesses extensive experience in upstream marketing, having previously managed gas marketing and third-party gas supply. Prior to joining Devon Energy, Raines gained experience at Chesapeake Energy Corp. and Reliant Energy. Raines earned a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law and a BBA in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
