Chris Folk

Chris Folk, Ph.D. is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as Principal Tech Lead at Dexcom, where leadership of a team of fifty engineers focuses on the development of a next-generation continuous glucose monitoring wearable platform. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering at Ra Medical Systems, Chris successfully reformed the company's culture and engineering practices while addressing critical product issues. Chris also held leadership roles at ViaCyte, overseeing both engineering and device manufacturing, and at Amgen, resolving major clinical trial challenges. Early career contributions include significant advancements in neurovascular devices during tenure at ev3/Covidien and pioneering work on minimally invasive surgical tools at Microfabrica. Chris's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from UCLA, an MS in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Cincinnati, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
