Francisco Mena Toro

Francisco Mena Toro is a Research Assistant at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since March 2022, focusing on a PhD project related to Crop Yield prediction using Earth Observation within the AI4EO Solution factory. Prior to this role, Francisco served as a Computational Statistics Lecturer and assistant in various subjects at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María from July 2017 to December 2021, conducting activities involving Jupyter Notebook and Python tools. Additionally, Francisco worked as a Research Assistant for the Virtual Chilean Observatory, contributed as a Developer at Farmacia Las Rosas S.A., and assisted in math labs at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, and a current pursuit of a PhD in Computer Science at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
