Rahul Jakkamsetty is a researcher at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since July 2023, focusing on enhancing vehicle vision using AI. Previously, Rahul held multiple roles at Volkswagen AG, including student assistant and intern, where the focus was on the safety of autonomous driving. Rahul also contributed to a master thesis project at DFKI on multi-sensor fusion for object detection in autonomous vehicles, achieving a grade of 1. Additionally, Rahul worked as a student assistant at DFKI on automated dataset generation for autonomous driving. Prior experience includes a research engineer role at Hyundai Motor India Engineering. Rahul holds a Master of Science in Commercial Vehicle Technology from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering.
