Walter Olthoff has over 30 years of work experience, with a focus on controlling and administration. Walter began their career at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in 1987 as a Member of Technical Staff. In 1989, they joined DFKI GmbH as an Assistant to the Director, where they worked until 1992. Walter then transitioned to the role of Head of Controlling and Administration at DFKI GmbH from 1992 to 1997. In 1997, they became the CFO of DFKI, a position they currently hold.
Walter Olthoff completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Business Administration at Kiel University from 1974 to 1977. Walter then pursued their Diplom degree in Computer Science and Economics at The University of Bonn, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Continuing their educational journey, Walter attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau from 1982 to 1987.
