Michael Hough

Michael Hough is currently serving as Principal Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source since August 2021. Prior to this role, Michael Hough was a Senior Lecturer in Structural Biology at the University of Essex from March 2011 to October 2021, focusing on high-resolution structural biology through X-ray crystallography and spectroscopy to explore metal-binding properties in proteins. Earlier experiences include a Fellow position at the University of Liverpool from 2008 to 2011 and a PDRA in the Synchrotron Radiation Department at STFC from 1999 to 2008, where Michael Hough conducted research on the structure-function relationships of Cu and Fe metalloproteins.
