Group Human Resources Director at Digital Barriers

Elaine Cooper has nearly 30 years of experience in HR, starting with the Diplomatic Services at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Elaine worked as HR Manager at FIS Software before joining Confused.com as Head of HR in 2007, where they introduced an ILM-accredited program for leadership and management. In 2010, they became HR Director at Le Mans Holdings and supported the company's launch. Elaine later joined Globalclick as HR Director and developed a strategy for streamlining the business while reducing costs and improving retention. Elaine worked for Groupon as EMEA HR Director for Goods, Retail Services, and Commercial Operations and played a role in repositioning the company's Northern European operations. Elaine next joined ThirdSpace as Head of People, where they set up the company for growth before TiG Data Intelligence acquired it. Currently, Elaine works as a senior HR consultant and director at their own firm, offering HR and people knowledge to businesses of all sizes and types. Elaine will soon join Digital Barriers as a Group HR Director.

Elaine Cooper pursued their postgraduate education at the University of South Wales, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management in 2003. In 2022, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they studied Digital Transformation in HR but did not complete a degree. Furthermore, Elaine Cooper earned two additional certifications: Situational Leadership II from The Ken Blanchard Companies in October 2019 and Organizational Development and Design from CIPD Qualifications in November 2018.
