Aaron Fu is a seasoned investor and entrepreneur with a focus on advancing startup ecosystems in Africa and the fintech sector. Currently serving as Director of Venture Investments at Digital Currency Group since July 2023, Aaron leads fintech venture investing while also co-founding the Obuntu Foundation, which empowers Africa-focused fund managers. As a Founding Partner at Sherpa Ventures and co-founder of Venture for Africa, Aaron actively supports African startup founders and drives innovation in the continent's business landscape. Previous roles include Partner at Catalyst Fund, Venture Partner at Republic, and Managing Director at MEST Africa. Aaron holds multiple degrees, including a PGDip in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford and an MSc in International Business in Emerging Markets from The University of Edinburgh.
