Jennifer Moore has extensive experience in editorial and managerial roles within educational and historical research settings. Currently serving as an Editorial Assistant and Researcher for the Irish Historic Towns Atlas at the Royal Irish Academy since October 2006, responsibilities include editing and providing research assistance. Previous roles include managing logistics for the Irish Women's XV rugby team at the Irish Rugby Football Union from November 2019 to April 2022 and lecturing at the University of Limerick between 2001 and 2007. Additional experience encompasses co-editing academic journals and teaching talented students through programs at the Centre for Talented Youth Ireland. Jennifer Moore holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Limerick, completed in 2000.

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hEireann is an all-Ireland, independent, academic body that promotes study and excellence in the sciences, humanities and social sciences. We champion research identifying and recognising Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest Academic honour in Ireland. There are over 580 members. Drawing on our Members’ expertise we make a significant contribution to public debate and policy formation on issues in science, technology and culture. We bring together academia, government and industry to address issues of mutual interest by providing an independent forum. We lead important national research projects, particularly in areas relating to Ireland and its heritage.
