Mahdi Hammami is a multidisciplinary engineering student at Tunisia Polytechnic School, expected to graduate in 2024. Currently serving as a Data Science Intern at the University of Louisville since February 2024 and as an Engineer Intern at the Digital Research Center of Sfax since June 2023, Mahdi has gained valuable experience across various roles. Previously, Mahdi worked as a Math Teacher at Cours-en-visio from November 2022 to May 2023, providing online math lessons to high school students and fostering their appreciation for the subject. Additionally, Mahdi completed a brief internship as an Engineer Intern at DK Soft in July 2022, which involved comprehensive work in back-end development, front-end design, and database management. Educational background includes an undergraduate degree from IPEIS - Institut Préparatoire aux Études d'Ingénieur de Sfax and a Tunisian baccalaureate from Lycée Pilote de Sfax.

Digital Research Center of Sfax
The mission of the Digital Research Center of Sfax is to conduct research and development activities in the field of information and communication technologies and promote innovation and technology transfer in this field by promoting research results, resources, and expertises. It is also expected to develop international cooperation in science and communication information technology. The research center aims to be at the forefront of technology by conducting applied research focused on innovation. Researches will focus on ICT for online services (e-tourism, e-health, e-tourism , e-government, etc.), intelligent energy management (smart-grid), as well as other strategic application areas for the south of Tunisia, such as monitoring the environment (control pollution). In its open policy on its scientific, economic and institutional, the center will promote scientific research activities made in collaboration with ICT private partners. It also provides inviting companies to set up R&D joint lab in the center and implement an ecosystem focused on innovation for the exploitation of research results.
