Benjamin Vandendriessche serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Medical & Signal Processing Lead at Byteflies since June 2016. In addition, Benjamin has been the DiMe Research Committee Co-Chair at the Digital Medicine Society since April 2021, focusing on evidence generation and education in digital medicine. Benjamin is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering since August 2017, following a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution from September 2014 to May 2016, specializing in computer science and physiologic signal processing. Prior to these roles, Benjamin completed a PhD in Molecular Biology, Physiology, and Computational Biology at VIB & Ghent University from 2009 to 2014, where the thesis concentrated on systemic inflammation dynamics. Educational background includes a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Ghent University, and secondary education at Sint-Lodewijkscollege Lokeren.
