Matt Roberts has extensive experience in the tech industry, starting with an internship at O'Reilly Media in 2004. Matt then served as a Software Engineer and Junior Software Engineer for the company. In 2008, they moved to the O'Reilly School of Technology as a Senior Web Developer, where they mentored a small team of junior web developers and maintained and extended a custom-built learning management system. In 2014, Matt began working at Kiosk, an advertising agency, as a Technology Lead and Technical Director. Matt led a team of 5-8 developers and designers, mentored them, and architected solutions for client and internal projects. Matt also developed software solutions and participated in client presentations. In 2019, Matt took a personal sabbatical and pursued personal projects. Matt also worked as a Baker at Pine State Biscuits, where they worked in the pastry commissary kitchen and made cookies. In 2020, they joined Classy.org as a Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack, where they led an off-shore team of 10 developers and test engineers. Finally, in 2021, they began working at Discogs as a Technical Lead, where they helped complete integration and deployment of a modern PayPal Commerce payment platform and developed a technical process framework for ADA remediation tasks.
Matt Roberts attended Sonoma State University from 2000 to 2005, studying Computer Science.
