Birt Johnson III

Birt Johnson III is the Director of Finance at Discord since 2022, overseeing Business Partnership FP&A and leading a team of four, focusing on areas such as Hosting/Cloud Infrastructure, Trust & Safety, R&D, G&A functions, and Marketing/Comms. Previously, Birt held the role of Senior Manager in Finance & Strategy at Block's TIDAL from 2021 to 2022, and served as Senior Manager of Product Strategy Planning and Analysis at Netflix from 2015 to 2021, managing financial planning for a $3B expense portfolio and collaborating with top executives on strategic decisions. Additional experience includes positions at Netflix in Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis and Customer Service Strategy Planning and Analysis, as well as financial roles during three rotations with AT&T's Financial Leadership Program and an internship at AT&T Interactive. Birt holds an MBA in Finance/Strategy from Georgetown University and a BSC in Finance from Santa Clara University.
