Felipe Toro

Felipe Toro has extensive experience in risk management and compliance, currently serving as Vice President of Business Risk Programs Governance and Strategy and Vice President of Compliance Operations at Discover Financial Services since October 2021. Prior to this role, Felipe held multiple vice president positions in Global Compliance Program Strategy and Governance and Operational Risk Governance Group at American Express from March 2008 to October 2021, alongside roles as Audit Director for both US Consumer Card Services and Travel, and Fraud & Special Investigations. Felipe's career began at American International Group from May 1997 to March 2008, where roles included Manager of Investigations and Senior Investigator within the Internal Audit Investigative Division. Felipe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. John's University, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
