Tony Piecz

Tony Piecz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data platforms and operations, currently serving as Sr. Director at Discover Financial Services since December 2013. Tony leads a team of over 200 staff, overseeing more than 20 platforms that facilitate data ingestion and business intelligence, as well as system administration and site reliability engineering. Previous roles include Sr. Manager of Programming, where Tony managed the Enterprise Data Store environment, and Systems Analysis Consultant focused on migration to new banking platforms. Prior to Discover, Tony spent over two decades at Motorola in various capacities, including Deployment & Operations Manager and Sr. Technical Marketing Consultant, contributing to IT deployment, data analytics, and knowledge management systems. Tony holds an MBA in Information Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Roosevelt University.
