Roman Polak

Roman Polak has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Roman currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Displayr since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cortex I.T. Labs for the span of ten years (2012-2022) as a Senior Application and Systems Developer.

Before joining Cortex I.T. Labs, Roman held a role as a Senior Developer at Retalix Australia from 2010 to 2012. Their responsibilities included developing and supporting the Retalix Loyalty Management System for Coles Supermarkets and Coles Express, as well as integrating various systems such as the Retalix Point Of Sale (POS) with Gunnebo Intelli-Safe and Dallmeier CCTV DVR system for Coles Express.

Earlier in their career, Roman served as a System Architect for Quality Center at HP Software (Mercury) from 2006 to 2009. In this role, they designed new infrastructures and features, provided architectural consultations, and solved complex software/hardware/network issues.

From 2002 to 2006, Roman worked at Mercury Interactive, where they held several positions. As the Client Infrastructures Team Lead for Quality Center, they led an initiative to port Quality Center Client to .NET technology and defined the methodology for the transition. Roman also served as the UI Team Lead for TestDirector (Quality Center) and a Software Developer for the TestDirector UI Team.

Prior to their tenure at Mercury Interactive, Roman worked as a Software Developer at Phantom II from 2000 to 2002 and at Ultimate Distribution Systems from 1996 to 2000.

Overall, Roman Polak has a strong background in software development, systems architecture, and project management, with experience in various industry sectors such as retail, quality assurance, and customer relationship management.

Roman Polak attended the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Software Engineering.
