Hugo Adrian Barba

Hugo Adrian Barba currently serves as a Bioprocessing Field Validation Specialist at Distek, Inc. since September 2023. Prior to this role, Hugo was a Lab Manager/Research Assistant at the University of Chicago, where leadership resulted in the successful completion of novel research and the publication of over five papers. Hugo has also contributed to diverse research projects, including solid-state fermentation experiments at CINVESTAV and the development of a colon cancer diagnostic tool at CIATEJ, securing funding for further research. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Data Science from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
