Hak Yong Lee

Hak Yong Lee is a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer at Divergent since November 2021, previously serving as a Design Optimization Development Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University from September 2015 to October 2021, where research focused on large-scale topology optimization algorithms considering manufacturing constraints and resulted in a dissertation on 3D woven microlattices and architected materials. Additional experience includes an internship at Technical Data Analysis Inc. in early 2021, developing software for optimal build orientations in additive manufacturing. Hak Yong Lee holds a PhD and an MS in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, as well as an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University, supplemented by an exchange program at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011.
