Neil Olson is a Senior Software Engineer at Divergent since May 2022, where focus is on developing advanced software for metal additive manufacturing to enhance machine intelligence and efficiency. Prior experience includes serving as an Avionics R&D Engineer at The Spaceship Company from July 2018 to November 2020, contributing to the Fly-By-Wire flight control systems for the VSS Unity space plane and performing critical software analysis and hardware design. Earlier, Neil was a Robotics Software Developer with Advanced Mining Technology Group at RWTH Aachen, working on autonomous robotic systems for underground exploration. Neil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics from Whitworth University.
