Marina Isaksen Sellstad has a diverse work experience in design and communication roles. In 2018, they co-founded and served as the Chief Communications Officer at Diwala, a digital credentialing and verification platform that utilizes blockchain technology. At Diwala, they facilitated the building of skill identity through verified information and optimized the way individuals work. Prior to that, Marina worked as a freelance graphic designer at various companies including Sellstad Photo & Design, Ace Retail AS, Point 3 Design, Pinpoint Design Group, and Brand Society between 2016 and 2017. Marina Isaksen also held the role of a Graphic Designer and later a Junior Designer at Brand Society from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, Marina gained experience through an internship at MECCA Brands in 2013, and worked as a freelance graphic designer at Feldenkrais® Institute of Victoria, Dion and Randall International, and Sandvin Eiendom AS in the same year.

Marina Isaksen Sellstad began their education at Horten High School from 2005 to 2008, where they pursued a general admission degree in Communication and Media Studies. Marina Isaksen later attended Kristiania University College from 2009 to 2011, focusing on Graphic Design. Marina then continued their education at RMIT University, starting in 2012 and completing their degree in Animation and Interactive Media in 2013. Marina Isaksen further advanced their skills by studying Graphic Design at RMIT University from 2013 to 2014, obtaining a Bachelor of Communication Design.
