Dorin Balcan is a highly experienced engineering professional with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. Currently serving as a Senior R&D Project Manager at Ascential Medical & Life Sciences since February 2023, Dorin leads cross-functional teams in the development of complex electromechanical products across various sectors including life sciences and defense. Prior to this role, Dorin held the position of President/CEO at Emotion Technologies Inc., providing consulting services for electro-mechanical systems. Dorin’s extensive previous experience includes roles as Engineering Director at Zebra Technologies, Platform Research & Development Manager at Kodak, Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Kerning Data Systems, along with an early position as a Research and Development Engineer at the National Institute of Research and Technology of Materials.
