Paolo Tasca is a distinguished expert in blockchain and financial systems, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chairman of the DLT Science Foundation since September 2022. As the Founder and Executive Director of the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies since April 2016, Tasca has made significant contributions to the field. Additional roles include Co-Chair of the Treasury Management and Token Economics Committee at Hedera, Associate Member at the UZH Blockchain Center, and Founder and Chairman of the P2P Financial Systems International Workshop. Tasca has been associated with The London School of Economics and Political Science as a Research Associate since October 2013 and serves as a Committee Member for ISO TC307 at the International Organization for Standardization since April 2017. Furthermore, Tasca has held key positions at DEC Institute and was a Co-Founder and Advisor at Quant Network and ECUREX. Academically, Tasca holds a Ph.D. in Business from ETH Zürich and advanced degrees in Economics and Finance from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia and in Politics and Economics from Università degli Studi di Padova.
